Since 2014, HELPING FRIENDS NEPAL has been financially supported by EMMAÜS of Mayenne, France.
EMMAÜS is an international movement that helps and rescues the most needy, in France and in 36 countries around the world.
Each year, EMMAÜS provides HFN with the money necessary to help the poorest bearers pay for a large part of the schooling of 1 or 2 children per family. The help provided by EMMAÜS is complemented by donations from former trekkers and friends of Emmaus.
French law encourages this aid by granting a tax reduction equal to 66% of the amount of the donation.
At present, thanks to the support of EMMAÜS and generous donors from outside the movement, 50 children are able to go to school. They work hard to acquire the knowledge that will allow them to have a better future than their parents, and to stay in their country to create value and help their families.
In April 2019, EMMAÜS, with 4 students from the ESIEA computer science school in Laval in Mayenne, equipped 2 schools with 10 microcomputers to promote exchanges between Nepalese teachers and pupils
At the end of 2022, Emmaus plans to repeat this operation of equipping schools with laptops with 5 students from ESIEA

– a statement of HFN’s projects
– the provisional budget
